South Kentucky RECC has appointed a new interim CEO.
Kevin Newton, who has most recently served as the local electric cooperative’s Chief Operating Officer, will take over the executive role in the interim while the board searches for a new permanent CEO.
Newton has been with South Kentucky RECC for nearly 30 years.
Newton assumes the leadership role with South Kentucky RECC following the resignation of former CEO Ken Simmons, who has served the co-op as CEO since 2020 but recently announced his resignation as he plans to move back home to Georgia.
