According to data from the Russell County Public Library, more than 37,000 people visited the library last year.
The library released data from an annual report this week showing the library saw increased use in 2022-2023 compared to the year prior.
The library reported its meeting rooms were used 748 times and the library has more than 12,000 library card holders, an increase of about 1,000 from the year prior.
The library held more than 400 programs last year with a total attendance of over 28,000.
The library’s expanded outreach program is a major factor for that 358 percent increase from the previous year, with 139 outreach programs garnering an attendance of nearly 21,000.
The library saw more than 33,000 books checked out, more than 16,000 Ebooks, and almost 5,000 public computer uses.
