Milam found not guilty on one charge, jury deadlocked on other

The jury in the case of the Commonwealth of Kentucky vs Harold Michael Milam found him not guilty yesterday on the charge of sexual abuse first degree, but could not reach a verdict on the second charge of criminal abuse first degree.

The jury returned the not guilty verdict yesterday, but the jury was deadlocked on the criminal abuse charge.

Prosecutors could decide to try Milam again on the criminal abuse charge.

Milam’s bond was lowered to a $25,000 surety bond following yesterday’s proceedings, according to reports.

Milam was indicted on the charges in November 2021 and has been in custody since then.
