The Russell County FFA chapter attended the first Raising Hope Assembly at the Capital lawn in Frankfort on Wednesday.
Russell County’s Alexis Fox was one of the chapter winners of the Handshakes for Hope Coin Challenge Scholarship program.
The Raising Hope Program focuses on improving the mental and physical health of agricultural producers and is a partnership with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, state universities, and the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
While at the capitol, FFA members met with Representative Josh Branscum.
Russell County Chapter members will continue the Raising Hope initiative in the coming school year with appreciation activities for agriculturalists.
