The Russell County Fiscal Court met yesterday in special session.
The court opened and approved a bid for the purchase of a used tractor for around $45,000 as well as approved discretionary funds from the state to resurface two roads in the county.
The county will receive roughly $126,000 from the state for resurfacing portions of LaFavers Cemetery Road near Jabez and C Simpson Road off Highway 80.
WJRS News caught up with Judge Executive Randy Marcum following the meeting to discuss these two items.
