The Russell Springs Police Department has a new chief, but he’s no stranger to the department.
Bryan Shepard, who has served as the interim chief the last several months, was unanimously approved by the city council last night.
Shepard said his recent experience with the department has been valuable and he looks forward to serving as the city’s police chief.
Mayor Eddie Thomas praised Shepard and said he looks forward to continuing to work with him.
