REPORT: Nearly 10.5 percent of Russell Countians 65 and over have Alzheimer’s

Data from the Alzheimer’s Association shows that nearly 10.5 percent of Russell Countians over the age of 65 suffer from Alzheimer’s.

The Alzheimer’s Association recently released county-level data for the first time to show how different communities across the country are affected.

Most of the Lake Cumberland area falls between 10 and 11 percent of residents 65 or older suffering from the disease.

According to the association, 6.7 million Americans live with Alzheimer’s disease.
