Pony loose on parkway disrupts traffic, safely removed by KSP

A pony that had gotten loose in Adair County disrupted traffic on the Cumberland Parkway Tuesday afternoon, with multiple people calling to report the pony was in the road and in danger of being hit.

According to Kentucky State Police Post 15 Public Affairs Officer Jonathan Houk, two KSP troopers were able to locate the pony and a local farmer were able to safely remove the pony from the parkway.

The pony had reportedly gotten loose from the Gradyville area of Adair County and walked several miles along the parkway.
