Traffic stop leads to arrest of Russell County pair

Two individuals from Russell Springs were arrested by the Adair County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend following a traffic stop on the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Expressway, according to law enforcement.

Just before midnight Friday, a traffic stop was performed on a eastbound 2015 Hyundai Elantra by ACSO Deputy Chandler Staten and his K-9 Nitro. The roadside investigation led to a search of the vehicle were suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was found, according to authorities.

Anthony Frost, 41, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no registration plates.

Mcquada Frost, 35, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also charged with felony promoting contraband after a female deputy jailer located narcotics hid during a body search in the booking process.

The two were lodged in the Adair Regional Jail. The Adair County Sheriffs Office is continuing their investigation.
