Several local electrical students at the Lake Cumberland Regional College and Workforce Center recently passed the Electrical TRACK Assessment, a rigorous assessment developed by members of the electrical industry throughout the state.
Passing the test awards students a pre-apprenticeship certificate from the Department of Labor and can afford them up to 1,000 hours towards on-the-job learning as they seek their journeyman license if they are in a registered apprenticeship program.
Students passing the exam were Dalton Canoneiro, Brandon Leach, Lucas Wray, Trevor VanMeter, and Keagan Wade. Wade obtained the highest score ever on the exam for a Lake Cumberland Regional College and Workforce Center student.
