The Russell County Board of Education meets this evening at 5 p.m. in the auditorium of the Russell County Schools ANC for their regular monthly meeting.
Among the list of lengthy agenda items is the authorization of the purchase of six new school buses for the district, several topics concerning the upgrades of the Russell County Schools athletic facility, a van purchase for use by the school nutrition program, and an executive session regarding school district employee discipline.
There will also be a special meeting of the Russell County School District Finance Corporation today at 4:30 p.m., immediately before the regular meeting of the school board. The purpose of the meeting, also in the ANC’s auditorium, is to consider adopting a resolution authorizing the issuance of revenue bonds for school building purposes.
