Russell down to nine COVID cases this week; Pulaski highest in district at 20

The Kentucky Department for Public Health reports nine new COVID cases in Russell County this week, a decrease from last week’s total of 14.

Looking at other counties in the Lake Cumberland District, Pulaski County had the most with 20 cases, Taylor County had 17 cases, Adair County reported 13 cases, McCreary County had 10 cases, Wayne County had seven cases, Green County had six cases, Casey County had five cases, Clinton County had four cases, and Cumberland County reported two cases.

Kentucky’s current incidence rate, per 100,000 population, is 6.17 percent. Statewide, there were 2,044 new cases and 66 newly reported deaths this week.
