Russell County reports 14 COVID cases this week

The Kentucky Department for Public Health reported 14 new COVID cases in Russell County this week, a decrease from last week’s total of 21.

Looking at other counties in the Lake Cumberland District, Adair County had the most with 24 cases, Pulaski County and Taylor County each reported 19 cases, Clinton County had 12 cases, Casey County had nine cases Wayne County, Green County and McCreary County each had six cases, and Cumberland County reported one case.

Kentucky’s current incidence rate, per 100,000 population, is 6.39 percent. Statewide, there were 2,572 new cases and 47 newly reported deaths this week.
