The Russell County High School FFA Chapter competed in the regional competition recently at Campbellsville University.
Several Russell County students received honors at the competition and five students advanced to state competition.
Those students receiving honors include:
Ag Mechanics speech – Eli Foley- rated Superior
Beef Speech – Blane Smith – rated Superior
Dairy Speech – Elizabeth Hoskins – rated Superior placed 2nd overall and will compete at the state contest
Floral Speech – Abby Wolford – rated Superior
Fruit and Vegetable Speech – Jasmine Grant – rated Superior and placed 2nd overall and will compete at the state contest
Goat & Sheep Speech – Alexis Fox – rated Superior and placed 2nd overall and will compete at the state contest
Horse Speech – Chloe Robertson – rated Superior and placed 1st overall and will compete at the state contest
Nursery and Landscape Speech – Chris Warriner – rated Excellent
Poultry Speech – Avery Hart – rated Superior and placed 3rd overall
Small Animal Speech – Callie Reynolds – rated Superior
Swine Speech – Myah Conner – rated Superior placed 3rd overall
Turf and Lawn Speech – Lucas McFall – rated Superior
Extemporaneous Speech – Bryanna Smith – rated Superior and placed 3rd overall
Creed Speaking – Abby Fox – rated Superior and placed 2nd overall and will compete at the state contest.
