The Russell Springs Police Department made an arrest following a hit-and-run incident over the weekend.
According to police, 36-year-old Pablo Cruz was arrested and charged with driving under the influence first degree and leaving the scene of an accident.
According to police, Cruz was operating a vehicle that was involved in a collision at the intersection of Highway 127 and Highway 80 Saturday evening but continued southbound, ultimately crashing into a ditch near Bernard Lane and fleeing on foot before he was apprehended.
Officer Blake Adamson with the Russell Springs Police Department was the arresting officer. Cruz was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
