The Russell County Middle School Laker Baseball team won at Meece Middle School last night.
The middle school Lakers came away with a 10-2 win.
Jace Skaggs got the win on the mound, pitching 3 1/3 innings, giving up just two hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out 7 and walking 5.
Evan Hutchison got the save, pitching 1 2/3 innings and striking out one while giving up no hits and no runs.
Skaggs drove in 4 runs at the plate with 3 hits and Hutchison drove in 2 with 2 hits.
In the B game, the Lakers won 6-0.
