The Russell County Middle School Laker Baseball teams defeated Taylor County last night.
The Lakers defeated the Cardinals 9-5 with Tyson Stille getting the win on the mound. Stille pitched 4 2/3 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.
Stille added 3 hits at the plate and Evan Hutchison drove in two runs.
In the B game, the Lakers came away with a 6-0 win.
Brody Terry got the win on the mound, pitching two innings and striking out four, giving up no hits and no runs.
Terry drove in one run at the plate as well in the win.
