The Russell County Laker Baseball team got its season underway with a win last night, picking up a 12-6 victory over the Green County Dragons.
The Lakers are scheduled to be back on the road again today, taking on the LaRue County Hawks at 5:30 p.m.
The Lakers will play their home opener on Tuesday, hosting a district opponent in the Monroe County Falcons.
