Russell Springs City Councilman Tommy Holt announced his resignation from his seat on the city council through a letter presented at last night’s city council meeting.
Holt’s resignation is effective immediately.
Councilwoman Sherry Bottom-Daniel nominated Lisa Mann to fill Holt’s council seat, which was unanimously approved by the council.
Mann is a former city council member.
The council seat will be up for election in November.
