The Russell County Lakers and Lady Lakers continue to struggle on the basketball court.
Last night, the Lady Lakers fell by a score of 67-44 to the 12th Region-leading Pulaski County Lady Maroons.
That loss drops the Lady Lakers to 5-20 on the season and was the third loss in a row for the Lady Lakers.
In the nightcap, the Lakers lost 67-50 to the Southwestern Warriors, coached by Russell County alum Jeron Dunbar.
The loss makes five in a row for the Lakers, who fell to 8-17 on the season.
The Lakers will look to get back in the win column when they host Hart County on Thursday.
