Multi-county pursuit leads to arrest of former Russell Co. resident

A traffic stop on North Highway 127 Friday afternoon turned into a multi-county pursuit, according to the Russell County Sheriff’s Office.

According to reports, Deputy Dustin Bunch initiated a traffic stop on a 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander on Highway 127 for driving too fast for road conditions, reckless driving, and passing multiple vehicles.

Brandy Tolliver, age 44 of Louisville, formerly of Russell County, fled during the traffic stop and fled going into Casey County.

Casey County law enforcement attempted to stop Tolliver, who hit a vehicle and tried to carjack it, but he fled into Lincoln County, where he was later arrested.

Nobody was injured in the pursuit and Tolliver was lodged in the Casey County jail.

Deputy Bunch told WJRS News he will be obtaining warrants against Tolliver for offenses committed in Russell County.
