Voters who wish to change their political party before the May primary elections are running out of time to do so.
The deadline to change political parties for the change to be in effect for the primary elections is Dec. 31.
To vote in a partisan primary in Kentucky, voters must be registered as a member of that party by Dec. 31 the prior year.
