Russell County Judge-Executive Gary D. Robertson has signed a proclamation declaring this week American Education Week in Russell County.
On hand for the signing was Middle Cumberland Education Association President Dr. Brooke Bartrug, Russell County Education Association President Rhonda Kimbler, RCEA Treasurer Holly Pierce, and RCEA Secretary Rosalie Poland.
American Education Week occurs each year the week prior to the week of Thanksgiving.
The National Education Association, of which the Kentucky Education Association is apart, says the team of people who work in our nation’s public schools, everyone from the bus driver and classroom teacher to the cafeteria worker and administrative staff, plus countless others, are honored throughout the weeklong event.
