Russell Co. burn ban lifted

Due to the rain received yesterday and overnight, Judge-Executive Gary Robertson has lifted the countywide burn ban, effective immediately.

If dry conditions return, the burn ban could be reinstated.

County officials ask that citizens remember the county still follows the state’s fall burning guidelines where you can only burn outside between the hours of 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. and must be 150 feet away from a wooded area.

Anyone with any questions can contact the judge-executive’s office at 270-343-2112.
