New assistant principals have been hired at Jamestown and Salem Elementary Schools.
Megan Phelps was named the new assistant principal at Jamestown Elementary School and Faith Womack was selected to be the assistant principal at Salem Elementary.
Womack previously served as an 8th grade teacher at Russell County Middle School.
Phelps previously served as a 5th grade teacher at Jamestown Elementary.
Previously, there was one assistant principal that served both schools, but the school district decided to make a change and hire an assistant at each school.
