The Lake Cumberland Area Development District will be hosting a Brownfield Outreach Session on Thursday, July 21st.
The free educational session, which will take place from 9 until 11 a.m. at the ADD office in Russell Springs, will provide an overview of the Brownfield program and grant assistance opportunities that may be available for redevelopment and revitalization efforts.
Topics will include an overview of brownfields, types of funding, liability protection program, and technical assistance opportunities.
A brownfield is a property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.
