Russell County and its surrounding counties remain green on the latest COVID map released by the Kentucky Department for Public Health.
Around the state, several counties now find themselves in the red and yellow category.
On the new map released Friday, 19 counties were classified as red and 28 were yellow.
Of the counties in the Lake Cumberland District, only Taylor County is not green.
