Russell County is ranked as the 44th-fastest growing county in Kentucky, according to the website Stacker, which uses data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
The list, which can be found here, uses the increase in population numbers between 2010 and 2020 to determine the fastest growing counties.
Russell County had a net increase of 426 citizens between the two census counts, landing 44th on the list between Nicholas County and Lawrence County.
Neighboring Pulaski County came in at 24th with an increase of 1,971.
