COVID vaccine now available for children under 5

The COVID-19 vaccine is now available for children under five years old.

The Food and Drug Administration granted emergency use authorization to Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 6 months to 5 years, as well as to Moderna’s vaccine for kids ages 6 months to 6 years.

This expands eligibility for vaccination to nearly 20 million additional children and means that all Americans ages 6 months and older are now eligible for vaccination.
