The Russell County Middle School Baseball team will play for the Central Kentucky Middle School Athletic Conference Championship tonight at Campbellsville High School.
The Lakers will play in the championship at 5 p.m. CT.
The Lakers won two games on Saturday to advance to the championship, taking down Hart County 16-0 and Metcalfe County 8-1.
In the win over Hart County, Ben Kemp got the win, giving up just 1 hit and striking out 7 of 10 batters.
In the win over Metcalfe, Carter Stapp and Tanner Stringer came up big at the plate. Stapp and Stringer each finished with a pair of hits, including a home run for Stapp and 3 RBI for Stringer.
