The annual Park Day at Mill Springs Battlefield in Nancy has been postponed from this weekend to next Saturday, April 16th.
The occasion is set aside each year for volunteer park maintenance and clean-up but with cold temperatures and iffy weather on tap for this weekend, Park Day organizers pushed the event back a week.
This will be the first Park Day at Mill Springs since it became a part of the National Park Service.
If interested in volunteering you can contact the Mill Springs Battlefield National Monument visitors center between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. eastern time Wednesday through Sunday by calling 606-636-4045.
The event on the 16th gets underway at 9 a.m. and goes until noon eastern time.
