Long-time Clinton County basketball coach stepping down

Clinton County High School Boys Basketball Coach Todd Messer has announced he is stepping down from his position as coach of the Bulldogs after 16 seasons.

Messer finishes his career as the school’s all-time winningest coach, beginning his tenure in 2006.

He leaves the program with an overall record of 314-166.

During his career at Clinton County, Messer’s Bulldogs won seven 16th District championships and had six runner-up finishes, making 13 region tournament appearances.

Under Messer, Clinton County won six All “A” Classic regional tournament championships and two runner-up finishes.
