Beshear signs bill raising KSP trooper pay, includes money for trooper cameras

Governor Andy Beshear signed legislation this week that will provide a raise for Kentucky State Police troopers and improve camera equipment for KSP.

House Bill 259 gives state troopers a $15,000 raise and bumps the starting pay for troopers from $40,000 to $55,000 annually.

The Governor also announced that $12.2 million has been included in the state budget for KSP to purchase an integrated video recording system, which includes body cameras and cruiser cameras.
