Two people were arrested by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office after a search warrant was executed on a property on Nelson Road Wednesday evening, according to Sheriff Derek Polston.
Mistie Collins, age 43, was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, menacing, and resisting arrest.
Douglas Alexander, age 42, was served numerous warrants from Russell, Adair, and Taylor counties.
More charges could be coming when the cases are presented to a grand jury.
The sheriff’s office was assisted on scene by the Kentucky State Police and the case is under investigation by Deputy Corey Meyer.
