State Auditor Mike Harmon’s office released the Sheriff’s Settlement – 2020 Taxes regular audit results this week, noting no instances of noncompliance and no matters over internal controls for the Russell County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s financial statement fairly presents the taxes charged, credited and paid for the period May 16, 2020 through April 15, 2021.
These audits are performed regularly by the state auditor’s office.
