Russell Springs Police welcomed a new police officer on Tuesday.
Mason Miniard has joined the Russell Springs Police Department as an officer-in-training, where he will work with a senior officer before going to training at the police academy. He joins Brenton Llane as new officers to the department.
RSPD Chief Tim Pierce said as officers-in-training, they will go on patrol with senior patrol officers to learn the ins and outs of police work as they prepare to go to the academy in the spring.
