A Campbellsville University professor has filed to run for 16th District State Senator, which includes Russell County.
Dr. Justy Engle, associate professor of English at Campbellsville University, recently filed to run for State Senate in the 16th District, which is currently represented by State Sen. Max Wise of Campbellsville.
Engle has filed to run as a democrat for the seat.
