On Thursday, the Laker Country WJRS crew and numerous volunteers will head out across Russell County as part of the 49th annual WJRS Food for the Needy Drive to hand out gift certificates to Price Less Foods to over 200 less fortunate families
The drive, an annual Christmastime tradition, is fueled each year by community donors, and, for the second straight year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, monetary donations were accepted to help the needy in the community with the grocery gift certificates.

Thursday at 1 pm, volunteers will meet at the LCCAA warehouse in Jamestown for final instructions and prayer led by Bro. Rick Neff before beginning delivery of the certificates to those families who have been submitted to the radio station as food drive recipients.
