Russell Co. Schools partnering with Laker Country to raise funds for tornado relief

The Russell County School District is partnering with WJRS Laker Country 104.9 to raise funds for tornado relief efforts in Western Kentucky.

Russell County Schools Superintendent Michael Ford said local first responders will be at each of the schools on Wednesday to collect donations from parents/guardians in the student drop-off lines, and first responders will also go around to school classrooms to collect change for donations.

The school district is doing this in partnership with Laker Country for the Laker Country Cares Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Radiothon, which takes place this Thursday, Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on WJRS 104.9.
