The Russell County Lady Laker Basketball team lost its opening matchup in the Smoky Mountain Classic on Monday, falling 46-32 to Notre Dame High School out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The Lady Lakers trailed by five going into halftime 20-15, but the Lady Irish pulled away in the second half. The loss drops the Lady Lakers to 3-5 on the season.
The Lady Lakers will take the floor again at 10:30 a.m. CT to take on a Bullitt Central squad that comes in at 6-2 and coming off a loss yesterday.
