Lady Lakers fall to Bullitt Central in Smoky Mountain Classic

The Russell County Lady Lakers fell to the Bullitt Central Lady Cougars in the Smoky Mountain Classic in Gatlinburg Tuesday afternoon by a score of 47-31.

The loss drops the Lady Lakers to 3-6 on the season.

In Tuesday’s matchup, Jaterria Coffey led the scoring with 16 points while knocking down 3-5 three pointers.

Aniyah Coffey added 5 points and Karley Luttrell scored 4 points. Natalie Bartrug, Karley Antle, and Hannah Yates each finished with 2 points.

Yates led the Lady Lakers in rebounding with 9, followed by Maleah Preston with 8.

The Lady Lakers return home on Dec. 27 to host the Banker’s Hardwood Classic, hosting Meade County next Monday.
