Morris K. Roy, age 72, of Russell Springs

Morris K. Roy, age 72, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Wednesday, November 24 2021 at his residence.

He was born on Saturday, May 07 1949, in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was the son of:
Mother – Edna Gosser Roy, who has preceded him in death
Father – Omer Roy, who has preceded him in death

Survivors also include:
Wife – Sandra Kay Roy of Russell Springs, KY

Judy Gaskin, of Russell Springs KY

He is also survived by a sister in law, Paulette Roy, Russell Springs, KY, a brother in-law, Terry McQueary, mother in law, Virginia (Granny) McQueary and a host of nieces and nephews. He was a farmer, a Veteran of the United States Army serving Vietnam in the 11th US Armored Cavalry Regiment. Morris served as a tank commander in which he was in charge of his tank and his men on the tank. Morris served our country with honor and valor receiving the Green Army Commendation Medal, the Purple Heart, the Army Good Conduct Medal and considerable more medals. He was also a member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Harold Roy. Pallbearers were Art Roy, Trent Roy, Ben Roy, Jerry D. Roy, Wayne Wilson, Jackie Wilson and Gared Dalton – A large thank you to Morris’ caregivers, Lake Cumberland Hospice Team and family.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, November 29 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM Sunday, November 28 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Highway 3525, Russell Springs, KY.
