Christopher Glenn Coffey, of Jamestown, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. He was 38 years of age.
Christopher was born in Somerset on June 28, 1983, son of Donnie and Peggy Smith Coffey. He was a truck driver who learned to drive while riding with and driving for his dad. Although he would spend weeks at a time on the road with his dad, Christopher was definitely a “Mama’s boy”. He had spent over 15 years on the road, most recently with Core-Trans Trucking.
Christopher enjoyed group calls with his fellow truck drivers while they would all be on the road away from home. He liked to do mechanic projects in his spare time. Christopher was a good-hearted man with a kind soul.
He is survived by his mother, Peggy Coffey; his sister and brother-in-law, Amanda Coffey Stapp and Troy Stapp; his maternal grandmother, Reba Smith; two nephews, Tyler Stapp and Trevor Stapp; and a special cousin who was like a sister, Tisha Popplewell, all of Jamestown.
Christopher is preceded in death by his father, Donnie Coffey, who passed away on October 9, 2020.
Funeral services are 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Wesley Coffey, Ashley Coffey, Daniel Popplewell, Robbie Morgan, Jason Smith and Junior Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Meredieth, Charles Collins and Danny Sears.
Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home, until time for services.
Christopher’s arrangements are entrusted to Bernard Funeral home. An online guestbook is available at www.bernardfuneralhome.com
