The City of Russell Springs received a clean audit report at Thursday night’s city council meeting.
A representative from RFH, a CPA and consulting firm in Lexington, spoke at the meeting and said he gave the city a clean audit, which he noted was the best result.
This was the first year that the City of Russell Springs used RFH as an auditor. The city previously used another company for many years, but Mayor Eddie Thomas said they made the decision to switch due to a recommendation from the Kentucky League of Cities, which recommends that cities switch auditors every 5-6 years.
