The Russell County Middle School girls basketball team won big on Thursday night in the opening round of the Central Kentucky Middle School Athletic Conference Tournament.
The 7th grade team knocked off Hart County by a score of 42-5, and the 8th graders won by a score of 37-3.
Addy Abrell led the 7th grade team in scoring with 14 points, while Aniyah Coffey led the 8th grade team with 12.
The tournament semifinals will be Monday night at Russell County Middle School, starting at 5 p.m.
