Temporary idle speed zone placed on Lake Cumberland

Due to the annual Poker Run event and high public use, the Lake Cumberland US Army Corps of Engineers in collaboration with Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has placed a temporary “Idle Speed” zone beginning approximately ½ mile downstream of Jack’s Branch in Harmon Creek.
Enforcement began Wednesday morning at daylight and ends on Monday, September 13 at midnight.
This temporary Idle Speed zone is in place to help alleviate congestion and aid in boater safety. Also, please be mindful of the permanent “NO SKI” or “NO TOW” zone beginning at the mouth of Harmon Creek.
