The Russell County Lady Laker Golf Team took home the 16th District Championship at Dale Hollow State Park on Wednesday.
The Lady Lakers shot a district-best score of 171 with McKenzie Trautman shooting 3-under par for a score of 33, Breanna Trautman with a 39, Madalyn Wright with a 48, Emily Coe with a 51, and Carleen Meyers shooting a 73.
The team is scheduled to play at the Henry Clay Invitational at Lakeside Country Club on Saturday.
