Russell County is approaching the 50 percent marker for the percentage of county residents age 12 and older who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The CDC reports that 48.7 percent of Russell County’s population age 12 and older have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine. 42.2 percent of that population is fully vaccinated.
Nearly 7,400 Russell County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine. About 6,400 are fully vaccinated.
