The Laker Golf team had a busy, but successful weekend this past weekend.
The varsity team competed in two invitationals over the weekend, playing Saturday in the Franklin Simpson shootout at Franklin Country Club. Junior Bentley Perkerson won the invitational shooting an even par score and defeating Camdyn McLean in a one-hole playoff when Bentley chipped in for birdie.
The Laker team finished 6th in a strong 15-team field.
Senior Dru Stop also played well, shooting a 78 on the day.
The Laker JV team played Saturday in the Pulaski County Invitational with 8th grader Noah McMillian leading the way for the Lakers with an 89.
