The Jamestown City Council met Thursday night, but Mayor Nick Shearer told people to stay tuned as a company planning to locate in Jamestown will address the council at next month’s meeting, scheduled for July 15.
“We’re very excited about this new adventure and excited about this company coming to address the council,” Shearer said. “We’re really excited about the possibilities. Stay tuned.”
In other news from Thursday’s meeting:
- The council approved the upcoming 2021-2022 fiscal year budget.
- Shearer reminded the public that Lakefest is coming up on July 3. If anyone is interested in volunteering for the Mike Hill 5K/10K, they can contact City Hall at 270-343-4594.
- The city is working to clean up and beautify the cemetery over the coming weeks.
